LISTEN: Yazz Ahmed – Jamil Jamal
Here’s an instant choreography trajectory, with all kinds of gentle, cool changes in color and texture. This track moves up and moves down, but Yazz Ahmed, a British Bahraini trumpet and flugelhorn player, keeps a steady development that carries you right along. For class or choreography, give this a listen.
This is from Ahmed’s 2017 release La Saboteuse, and you can hear more from the album at Ahmed’s Bandcamp.
